COULTER'S FACTCIDENT: Ann's wrong about conservos hitting dems

I can appreciate Ann Coulter's writing. She injects a lot of wit into her polemical prose. She also seems fairly well-researched. However, Coulter stubs her toe in her latest, "Demonic: How the Liberal Mob Is Endangering America" (Random House, 2011).
In Chapter 12 "Imaginary Violence from the Right vs. Actual Violence from the Left," Coulter stitches together a list of figures — from John Wilkes Boothe  to Austin kamikaze pilot Joseph Andrew Stack  —  all of whom are radical liberals, making the case that lefties are prone to physical outbursts.
But when "the right-wing Judy Garland" writes, "No democratic politician has ever been rushed by a conservative and hit in the face with a stupid sign," she overlooks one of my favorite History-of-Dallas moments and one of her own ... Cora Lacy Frederickson.

Cora Lacy Frederickson was an insurance executive’s wife and a prominent figure in downtown lunch clubs. On Oct. 24, 1963, Mrs Frederickson assaulted U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Adlai Stevenson at Dallas’ Memorial Auditorium Theater. Stevenson first approached a screaming Mrs. Frederickson merely to ask her about the source of her anger. In response, she struck the ambassador over the head with her “Down with U.N.” picket sign.  Mrs. Frederickson was arrested, but Stevenson didn’t press charges.
Cora was "a self-described Goldwater Republican" and supporter of [busted toe-tapper and closet case] Army Maj. Gen. Edwin Walker.
If Coulter needs more, here's actual footage of the incident.

And here's a news clipping that includes Cora's actual name. However, in her defense, Cora denies intentionally hitting Stevenson....
